Love Island fans may be stunned to realise that one star had auditioned for a role on BBC soap EastEnders – but did not get the part.

The third instalment of Love Island All Stars is well underway, with the remaining couples vying for a place in the 2026 final which is just days away. Once again, familiar faces from the past decade of the dating show returned to the luxury villa in South Africa in the hopes of finding love.

It has been an explosive series so far, with plenty of jaw dropping moments and awkward love triangles. Just this week, the Islanders received their video calls home as well as a dinner party than soon became heated.

Love Island’s Belle Hassan captured the nation’s affection during her appearance on the 2019 summer series.

The bombshell, who was blonde back on her Love Island stint, shared a brief romance with Anton Danyluk during the programme as she charmed viewers with her grounded nature and straightforward approach.

This time around, the star has been no stranger to love triangles before finding herself in a couple with bombshell Harrison Solomon – with fans questioning their compatibility.

Whilst experiencing her breakthrough moment in 2019 Belle wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with public attention before entering the villa, thanks to her father Tamer Hassan’s established acting career.

His credits include films like The Business and Football Factory, frequently working alongside EastEnders star Danny Dyer, whose daughter Dani Dyer also competed on Love Island.

It seems Belle has also featured in several films alongside her father – but fans may be surprised to learn she also auditioned for a hit BBC One soap, reports the Daily Star.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Belle revealed she was unsuccessful in securing a part on the long-running BBC soap EastEnders shortly before joining Love Island.

She disclosed: “I auditioned for EastEnders just before Love Island, but I was rejected as they said ‘I wasn’t rough enough’.”
