The fourth episode of The Traitors is just hours away, and as households all over Britain get ready to settle down with all eyes on BBC One, an ex-traitor has now revealed who they believe is the Secret Traitor.

Paul Gorton, 38, is the cunning traitor who faced off with the formidable Traitors series two winner, Harry Clark, and was ultimately banished.

He is undoubtedly one of the most iconic traitors to have graced the BBC show, with his game plan and charm enabling him to stay in the game right through to episode eight.

Paul has now told us,on behalf of Which Bingo, exactly who he believes is the Secret Traitor bearing the red cloak – just hours before viewers across the country discover the truth.

He said: “I think it’s a woman because I think they’ll do two men and two women. You know, just someone that we’ve not really had a lot of FaceTime with yet and we just don’t know. It could be any of them.”

The tech genie-turned-presenter has dropped three names into the Secret Traitor mix: Amanda, Fiona and Ellie, however, there is one person he has his “money on” – Amanda.

Amanda

Speaking of the former Detective Chief Inspector: “I think is so obvious. I think it’s Amanda, because Amanda is a detective.

“She, in the most macabre way in the world, said to Claudia ‘I spent so long fighting crime and being good, and I want to be bad. Like a Batman villain.’”

He added: “She’s also so cool, so calm, so collected, she had that really early conversation with Hugo when she said, ‘I don’t have to the weight on my shoulders of being a traitor, as if to say, ‘I know that you do have that weight on your shoulder.’

“So Amanda to me, would be a really good, strong pick, and my God, when Amanda, if it was Amanda, walked into that turret [to meet] it was Rachel and Stephen, deary me, that would be bananas.”

He went on to give us a sneak peak into Claudia Winkleman’s head, alleging The Traitors host would most probably have “loved” Amanda’s pitch.

Fiona

Local government officer, Fiona, has captured hearts on the show, with many looking at her as a gentle, older contestant.

However, Paul has suggested she may not be quite as she seems, referencing her “put down” of Hugo, who was banished from the show in the last episode.

Paul said: “I love the idea of Fiona, because Fiona is being affable, likeable […] when you see her put down of Hugo, she’s very articulate, very strong, and then her last words in her last interview were people shouldn’t underestimate ladies of my age.

“And it’s like she’s 62, so she’s not that old. But she’s playing that character, which makes me think, are you actually a secret traitor?”

Finally, Paul came to Ellie. Ellie has managed to fly rather under the radar so far, however, Paul has said he believes she could be just the perfect Secret Traitor.

She said: “It might be Ellie, because Ellie is in every scene, but she’s not in any of the scenes.

“She’s kind of like always there, always present. I can always see her face, but she’s always kind of like slinking around like a ghost or a secret traitor and she actually said the two words, ‘secret traitor.’

“I don’t think anyone’s ever put them two words together before.”
