Welshman Ciaran recently opened up on his villa experience and described a villa-wide bout of upset stomachs.

The telly star admitted the Islanders were left battling digestive problems away from the cameras.

Perhaps this was the reason some of the Islanders “went missing” from our screens.

Ciaran told the Daily Mail: “About 90 per cent of the islanders on the All Stars had stomach problems, I don’t know whether it’s just being in a different country so far away in South Africa that perhaps our bodies weren’t used to the food, the drinks or anything.

“I’m not sure what it was, but a lot of people had an upset stomach.”

He added: “I know that from previous years in South Africa, like that was the case in their series as well.”

Fan favourite Islander Molly Smith told viewers back in 2024 of the “tragic” food poisoning outbreak that left her co-stars “bed bound” and fighting over the notoriously scarce villa bathrooms.

But Ciaran, who shot to fame on season 11 of Love Island, assured fans the food was not the problem saying it was some of the best the show had served up.

He raved: “The food tasted amazing. It tasted a lot better than what we had in Mallorca, I remember it clear as day.

“The favourite was the chicken pot pie we had, it tasted unbelievable, it was so good.”

Rugby player Ciaran first graced our telly screens in 2024 when he was coupled up with Nicole Samuel, 24.

The pair had quite a tumultuous time in the villa and called it quits on the outside just four months later.

During his most recent stint on the show, Ciaran coupled up with Samie, 26, and it seems he could well have found love again.

The loved up pair seem to be doing better than ever now they’ve arrived back in the UK.

Samie and Ciaran scooped the £50k cash prize as the won the third series of the Love Island spin-off, All Stars.

They recently opened up on what they’re set to splurge their winnings on.

During the Love Island: The Morning After podcast Samie and Ciaran admitted they have already planned to spend the money on a holiday.

Stunning Samie and Ciaran explained their plans to visit Nashville with another Love Island couple.

The reality stars claimed they would be meeting Millie Court and Zac Woodworth in America and could possibly be joined by Scott and Leanne.
