HOR-ROR SEARCH: MISSING SOLDIER, 22, FOUND D-E-A-D — THEN POLICE UNCOVER A SHOCKING ‘CAR R-AM-MING’ TWIST
A BODY has been found in a river during the frantic search for a missing man.
Liam Potts, 22, was last seen at 12.20am on Saturday heading into Wylam from Wylam Bridge in Northumberland after a night out with friends.

Concerns were raised when the soldier did not return home the next morning.
Liam was last seen wearing black joggers, black Nike trainers and a black T-shirt with white text and a diamond logo on the back, and a gold chain, as police released a CCTV image.
Extensive searches were carried out, with specialist officers from Northumbria Police’s Marine Unit making the sad find in the River Tyne close to Wylam Bridge today.
Liam’s family and friends were also involved in the search.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Robson, of Northumbria Police, said: “This is an extremely sad development, and our thoughts are very much with Liam’s family and friends.
“I would like to thank all of our officers, partners and volunteers for their assistance throughout the searches, along with everyone who shared our appeals and contacted us with information.
“We would continue to ask that people respect the family’s privacy at this tragic time.”
Police had previously probed a crash that had occurred on Wylam Bridge at the time Liam was seen there.
A man and woman, both in their 20s, were seriously injured after a car is thought to have crashed into a group of pedestrians.
Officers said Liam was on the bridge at the time but he wasn’t in the vehicle, and it’s not believed he was injured.
Two men, aged 22 and 23, were arrested in connection with the crash and have been bailed.
Liam, who was described as a white man, 6ft 3ins tall, of medium build with dark hair and tattoos down his right arm, is a soldier, serving with the Coldstream Guards.
