HELEN Flanagan has sparked rumours she’s making a Coronation Street comeback – eight years after she left the soap.

The actress, who played wild child Rosie Webster on the cobbles, left in June 2018 in order to go on maternity leave with her second child.

Helen, 35, shared a new photo on Instagram today which has got fans speculating that the Corrie favourite could be returning.

The TV star posted a rare picture of her reuniting with her on-screen family.

She posed next to Sally Dynevor, who plays her mum Sally Webster and Brooke Vincent, who portrayed her sister Sophie.

They came to support Helen as she stars in new show The Memory of Water at Octagon Theatre Bolton.

The trio were seen beaming for a sweet post-show selfie.

Helen captioned it: “They came. Love you both so much.”

Her fans were delighted to see the three women back together.

One wrote: “The best role model girls.”

A second posted: “It’s a family affair.”

A third commented: “Now bring them both back to Corrie.”

“You both need to come back to corrie for your dad’s sake,” a fourth said referring to Kevin Webster’s recent heartache on the cobbles.

Someone else agreed: “You need to return to the street,” while another added: “We need a Corrie reunion now.”

At the end of last year, Helen revealed she was ready to return to Corrie.

She found fame as Rosie Webster at just 10 years old, playing the role of the tearaway youngster from 2000 until 2012.

She returned to the show in 2017, two years after the birth of her eldest child Matilda, but left again the following year.

Though the exit coincided with her maternity leave, Helen wanted to pursue other projects and had grown tired with the character’s ‘b***y’ nature.

Since then, reality TV and modelling work has filled her schedule but she’s itching for an acting return on TV screens.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: “I’d love to go back to Coronation Street, but they just haven’t asked me and I live around the corner, but they just haven’t asked me.

“I’d love to, if they asked me. I’d come back, but they obviously haven’t.”

And last year The Sun revealed that Helen approached bosses in a bid to return to the soap.

A source said at the time: “She has had enough of reality TV and would like a regular job.

“Helen recently spoke to a top Corrie producer about the possibility of coming back, but her character wouldn’t currently feed into any plots that are playing out.”

Helen told The Sun last year: “I’d absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street, I really, really would.

“I’d love to see Rosie Webster come back as a single mum, having just left her partner.

“She’d dump her two kids with Sally and I think she would be an iconic barmaid at Rovers Return.”
