Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has been supported by his co-stars after paying tribute to his lookalike brother. Kelvin is known for playing Andy Sugden on the hit ITV soap from 1996 until 2016, when his character went on the run after being framed for attempted murder.

The 41-year-old actor and Strictly Come Dancing winner is also known for appearing on Fletchers’ Family Farm with his wife, Liz, and their children Marnie, Milo, Maximus and Mateusz.

Kelvin took to Instagram on Sunday (January 11) to share a sweet post that honoured his younger brother, Dean. The star shared a throwback photo of the pair, as well as smiling images of the brothers with their children now.

“The sofa’s different but the love is the same, and we are now sharing it with our 8 beautiful children,” the caption read.

“Still my biggest support, my closest confidant and my deepest bond. I love you brother.”

Several of Kelvin’s former Emmerdale co-stars took to the comments section to share their well wishes, with Debbie Dingle star Charley Webb writing: “Love love love.”

Natalie Anderson, who played Alicia Metcalfe, posted two heart emojis, as did Corrie star Ryan Thomas, who is known for his role as Jason Grimshaw.

Soap fans also shared their support, with many left floored by the brothers’ similar appearances to Kelvin’s three-year-old twins. “Wow that first pic looks just like your twins,” one person wrote.

Another added: “Great pic of you all. Really lovely,” while a third said: “Gosh you can tell you’re brothers! So alike!”

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “Blimey Kelvin you’re so alike, it’s great to see you both and all the kiddies,” with another similarly sharing: “Oh wow you are the spitting image of each other! Gorgeous photos. It’s so lovely that you still have such a strong bond.”

Dean notably supported his brother in the audience of Strictly back in 2019, which Kelvin went on to win with his professional partner Oti Mabuse.

Kelvin isn’t the only member of the family who is used to being in the spotlight as his younger brother, Brayden, is known for starring in a 2016 episode of Corrie as an unnamed youth. His character notably tormented Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).

That’s not all, as Kelvin’s half-sister, Keeley Forsyth, has also made appearances on the cobbles. She has also released three solo albums, and starred in several beloved TV shows, including Holby City and The Casual Vacancy.
