A bushfire that caused residents in Perth’s north-east to evacuate on Friday afternoon has been downgraded.
Individuals in Ellenbrook were issued a “leave now” warning at 12.30pm on Friday as the blaze threatened homes and lives.
The evacuation warning has been lifted but a “Watch and Act” order remains in place for Ellenbrook and Bullsbrook locals who are bounded by Hawthornden Avenue, Dunnett Drive, Banrock Drive and Railway Parade up to inline with Twin Swaps Nature Reserve in the City of Swan.

The blaze has not been controlled or contained yet, with the bushfire continuing to move in a north-easterly direction.
Motorists have been urged to slow down and drive carefully throughout the area.
Firefighters and aerial support remain at the scene.
The order comes just one day after a bushfire near the Vines Resort Golf Course prompted authorities to issue an alert, which was later downgraded on Thursday night.
Emergency WA says strong winds caused a flare up of Thursday’s blaze, resulting in the warnings issued on Friday.
Residents in the watch and act zone have been given the following advice from authorities:
Stay alert and monitor your surroundings as conditions could change.
Keep your doors and windows closed to keep out smoke.
Turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible to prevent embers entering your home.
Continue to patrol your property and be ready to put out spot fires.
