The case against Victor Mthethwa Majola, who is accused of the premeditated murder of media personality Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, has been postponed to January 2026.
Majola made his first appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, December 23, 2025.
Majola will spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve behind bars as the court postponed the matter to January 6.
He will apply for his bail next year.
Majola is one of two men who were arrested in connection with the killing.

Charges against the second suspect have reportedly been provisionally withdrawn.
Stock, 40, was fatally shot on December 16 outside Zambezi House in Johannesburg’s central business district.
His private security company, Imperium Ops International, was contracted to provide services at the building.
The arrests followed a pre-dawn police operation at Morafe Hostel in Soweto on Monday, December 22, during which two suspects were taken in for questioning.
Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili later confirmed that both men had been formally charged with murder.

Police previously said investigations are continuing and that officers are searching for at least one more suspect.
CCTV footage from the scene is believed to show three individuals approaching Stock shortly before the shooting.
Authorities are probing whether the killing is linked to Stock’s work in the private security industry, particularly his involvement in operations at inner-city buildings.
In the weeks before his death, Stock reportedly obtained several protection orders after receiving threats related to his work.
Majola’s court appearance came a day after Stock was laid to rest at a funeral attended by family, friends and colleagues.
