GMB’s Kate Garraway in ‘taxi collision’ as grim injury leaves co-stars horrified

The ITV presenter shared a gruesome video of her ’emergency’.

Kate Garraway looked completely different as she shared a clip of her behind-the-scenes “horror” at Good Morning Britain. The 58-year-old presenter is a regular face on the ITV show, but she revealed that on Monday morning, she faced an “emergency” when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Posting to Instagram, she shared a short clip of her smiling – but she was missing half of one of her front teeth. Another shot showed the broken tooth on her leg and a third snap showed a tube of dental adhesive. In the caption, Kate explained: “Backstage dramas @gmb – & for once it’s real! Letting you in on the horror behind the scenes on Monday’s show… After an unfortunate collision with a taxi window at the weekend I cracked my two front teeth caps.. of course. They then fell out just before going on air.

 

“All I can say is it’s hard to appear young and cool in front of a whole new team of trendy producers when you are reduced to gluing your teeth on with denture fixative at three in the morning!!!

“An emergency trip to the dentist means now having a temporary set of fake teeth …but they are soooo massive – bless you @alancarr I now know your challenges!! Just hoping they hold for @gmb tmrw from 6 a.m with @richardmadeleyofficial – glue at the ready!!!”

Some of Kate’s 1.3m followers rushed to support her, with co-star Susanna Reid commenting: “Oh my,” followed by a crying face and a red love heart.

Charlotte Hawkins, who also works on the ITV breakfast show, added: “Oh my goodness Kate!! [shocked emoji] Hope it’s fixed soon.”

Meanwhile, one fan penned: “Ohh no Kate. Bless you,” as another declared it to be a “nightmare”.

Someone else appreciated her positivity, writing: “Oufff worst nightmare! Glad you’re laughing and if you’re not laughing at least it lools like you are.”
