Celebrity Traitors 2 will take place at some point this year, with BBC One scheduling more seasons all the way up to 2029.

And although the release date for the next series is yet to be revealed, let’s take a look at the celebrities rumoured and confirmed to become a Faithful or a Traitor.

Who is rumoured for Celebrity Traitors 2026?

Michael Sheen

On March 26, The Sun exclusively revealed that the man of many faces Michael Sheen has signed up for the next Celebrity Traitors.

Fresh off the back of playing proven liar Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2024’s Amazon Prime Video three-part series A Very Royal Scandal, Sheen is exactly the sort of character a show like the Traitor’s needs.

A source said: “Michael has had a lot of practice playing lying, duplicitous and scheming men — the Traitors should be a breeze.

“He is very much seen as a ‘big dog’ signing. Behind the scenes, everyone is hugely excited.”

Danny Dyer

After turning the show down last year, the Cockney actor was reportedly swayed by watching the likes of Celia Imrie and eventual winner Alan Carr in series one.

The former EastEnders star has already expressed his desire to be a Traitor on the show as he said: “It’s more fun to be a Traitor, you’ve got a job.”

A source said: “Danny was always top of The Celebrity Traitors wish list but had zero interest until seeing the fun and games last autumn.

“As soon as his tune changed, it was all systems go.”

Richard E Grant and Hugh Bonneville

Richard recently portrayed lord of the manor Sir James Catton in steamy movie Saltburn, while Hugh is best known as portraying Lord Grantham in Downton Abbey.

The two massive British actors have both been asked to join the cast for the upcoming series of the murder-mystery game show.

A source told The Sun: “Richard and Hugh are national treasures and would fit in perfectly in the plush surroundings of the castle.

“Richard is clever, witty and endearing, Hugh is charming and funny.

“Both would be hugely entertaining at the roundtable and in the turret, if made Traitors.”

Alison Hammond

The Great British Bake Off and This Morning presenter is another huge name in British television to be rumoured with starring in its second series.

Unlike Dyer, Hammond stated “I think I would be a good Faithful,” when asked what role she would ideally be given.

A source said: “Alison is on the BBC’s hit list for Celebrity Traitors and she’s keen.

“The Beeb think she could be comedy gold, just like Alan Carr. Alison is naturally very funny and they think she could end up being hugely successful.”

Jason Manford

Manford could end up following in fellow comedian Alan Carr’s footsteps as he could be heading to the Ardross Castle.

The comedian exclusively revealed to The Sun last month that he was being considered to go on the show; he said: “Yeah, there’s been conversations and stuff about it behind the scenes.

“But I think I’m waiting for them to come down the ladder of show business because this is a success in the first one.

“They’re like, Tom Hiddleston, Helen Mirren…”

“They think she would be brilliant at playing the game.”

This Country star Daisy May Cooper is rumoured to be taking part in this year’s series of the show after having to drop out of filming for the first run last April.

The Bafta-winning actor pulled out of the previous series after the birth of her son Benji as she did not want to be away from home, filming.

A source said: “Daisy is telly gold. She’s hilarious and would be perfect.

“Show bosses are pulling out all the stops to make this happen.”
