Police are searching a property in the Mount Hope district as the hunt for Julian Ingram, wanted in connection to the shooting deaths of three people in Lake Cargelligo on Thursday, enters its fifth day.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander readers are advised that this article contains names and images of Indigenous people who have died.
The search continues after investigators received information over the weekend about a potential sighting at Mount Hope, an hour north-west of the remote New South Wales town.

NSW Police Western Region Commander Andrew Holland said the area would be the main focus of today’s operation.
“We have a number of properties under observation and we currently have a Tactical Operations Unit searching a property out there at this time with air support from PolAir,” he said.
“The offender is still armed, or believed to be armed, and our recommendation for the people of the Mount Hope area is that they exercise extreme caution.
“If people feel insecure I suggest that they remain in their premises but, again, they are not in lockdown … but for those people camping in the area or just visiting, I suggest it’s probably time to go home.”
Assistant Commissioner Holland said the conditions for today’s search were “not ideal”.
“Temperatures are expected to be up around 45 degrees today,” he said.
“The safety and security of my staff is paramount to me.
“We need to make sure that our search will continue … the heat will not stop the search of locations by police.”
Mr Ingram, 37, is accused of killing three people and seriously injuring another in Lake Cargelligo on the afternoon of January 22.
He was last seen leaving the town and heading north towards the community of Euabalong.

Sophie Quinn, 25, who was seven months pregnant, and a 32-year-old man were found dead in a vehicle on Bokhara Street.
It is understood Ms Quinn had previously been in a relationship with Mr Ingram.
Police are treating the matter as a domestic violence incident.
A short time later, police responded to reports of shots fired on Walker Street, where they found another man and woman with gunshot wounds.

Fifty-year-old Nerida Quinn, Sophie Quinn’s aunt, died, and 19-year-old Kaleb Macqueen was taken to Canberra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Organisers of the Invasion Day rally at Hyde Park in Sydney’s CBD took to the stage to remember the three people shot dead in Lake Cargelligo.
A placard was held up to the crowd picturing each victim, including an ultrasound of Ms Quinn’s unborn baby.

Paul Silva told the crowd Ms Quinn was a beautiful young woman who was looking forward to becoming a mum.
“Today I have the opportunity that I shouldn’t, to sit here and remember these people,” he said.
“Her baby boy … never got a chance to make it to her side, and we’ll never know if he would have had Sophie’s beautiful eyes, or her love of fishing and animals and we will never see her hold her baby for the first time.”
Mr Silva asked attendees to pause in honour of the victims with a minute’s silence.
“They were deeply loved … and they deserved so much better,” he said.

Suspect out on bail
Mr Ingram was on bail for domestic violence offences at the time of the shooting and had been due to appear in court early next month.
In November, he was charged with stalking and intimidation with intent to cause physical fear or harm, common assault, and property damage worth less than $2,000.
Under his bail conditions, Mr Ingram was required to report to Lake Cargelligo police station once daily.
Assistant Commissioner Holland said the response to an appeal to the public for information had been “fantastic”.
“If anyone identifies any unusual behaviour, any unusual activity, any reports of property being stolen, we want to know about it as soon as possible,” he said.
“We believe at this point he is acting alone, but again, I cannot rule out the possibility that local people are assisting him.
“We are talking to his associates and obviously speaking to them individually.”
