Fox News recently shared Charlie Kirk’s last photo, taken with Kayleigh McEnany – a political commentator, Fox News host and former White House press secretary. In the photo, McEnany is seen with Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, where he was fatally shot in September 2025.
Who is Kayleigh McEnany?
Kayleigh Michelle McEnany is a prominent American political commentator and television personality who served as the 33rd White House press secretary under President Donald Trump from April 2020 until January 2021.
After leaving the White House, she transitioned into media and became a regular on conservative networks before launching her own weekend program, SatAmericaFNC.
McEnany has a background in law and political communications. Early in the 2016 Republican primary, she was critical of Donald Trump, but she later became one of his most vocal defenders, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 election cycle.
Following her tenure in the administration, she has remained closely aligned with conservative politics and Trump-aligned advocacy.
In 2025, McEnany took on a new role as the host of Saturday in America with Kayleigh McEnany, a weekend talk show on Fox News. The show provides commentary on national politics and social issues, where she frequently discusses conservative figures and events relevant to the Republican base.
McEnany has publicly reflected on Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy since his assassination in September 2025. In televised commentary, she has discussed the unifying nature of memorial events and spoken about Kirk’s faith and impact on young conservative activists.
In a FOX News broadcast, McEnany was seen discussing Kirk’s authentic love for Christianity and how his influence reached young political conservatives.
McEnany’s response to Erika Kirk’s announcement
On December 20, McEnany advised the GOP to pursue a competitive primary rather than making early endorsements in the 2028 presidential contest after Erika Kirk’s announcement to make J.D. Vance the next president.
Erika announced at TPUSA’s AmericaFest conference in Phoenix, “We’re going to ensure that President Trump has Congress for all four years. We are going to get my husband’s friend, JD Vance, elected for [48th president] in the most resounding way possible.”
McEnany later condemned Erika’s forward call for Vance’s election announcement and said, “I think it’s very important that the Republican party have a competitive primary. We see how much weaker, in my opinion, the left was by not having a primary .”
