A mother allegedly mowed down by her neighbour outside a suburban Melbourne home has been remembered as the “most caring and beautiful person”.

Ms McKay’s cousin, Carly McKay, has on Saturday established a GoFundMe for the woman’s family.
She said her cousin had allegedly “lost her life in the hands of a male”.

“My cousin was the most caring and beautiful person who did not deserve to loose her life,” she said.
“Her three beautiful children are now left without their mum.

“I have taken to this page to help support her children with funeral expenses and anything else the family may need in this difficult time.
“I would really appreciate any donation to help lay my beautiful cousin to rest.”
Ms McKay’s sister, who was not identified, told The Age her sister was the epitome of kindness.
“Our family will forever feel the void she’s left behind, and the pain of this loss is unimaginable,” she said.

Ms McKay’s son, Trent Ottrey, reportedly told media outside the Reservoir home on Saturday his mum “grew up hard, so we grew up hard”.

“Half of the people I knew from around the area knew about it before I even knew about it,” he said.
A 44-year-old Reservoir man since identified as Luke Rainy and believed to be the woman’s neighbour was arrested at the scene.
Police have now charged him with one count of murder.
