‘Tiny, but mighty’: Family of girl, 8, killed in Texas flooding releases statement

HOUSTON, Texas (KVII) — The family of Mary Kate Jacobe, 8, a Camp Mystic camper killed in the Hill Country flooding, released a statement about their “angel on earth.”
She was tiny but mighty, full of love and joy with a smile that melted your heart,” said the Jacobe family.
Jacobe is one of 27 campers and counselors killed when the Guadalupe River flooded on July 4.
At least 118 people are dead.
Kerr County was hit the hardest, with at least 95 deaths, including 36 children. President Donald Trump signed a disaster declaration for the county and the Federal Emergency Management Agency is on the ground there.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
“Mary Kate, our Sissy, was the baby of our large family and was most certainly our angel on earth. We are utterly shattered and forever changed by the loss of our girl,” said the Jacobe family.
