Princess Beatrice with a concerned look on her face at Ascot

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter is known to have a friendship circle with some very famous names

s a member of the royal family, it’s perhaps no surprise that Princess Beatrice has some equally famous friends.

In fact, she and Prince William have a selection of rather well-known mutual friends. Years before she met her now-husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the Prince of Wales reportedly introduced Beatrice to her ex-boyfriend, Dave Clarke.

The 2006 meeting took place at a party hosted by their mutual friend Sean, son of actor Pierce Brosnan.

Sean was once part of Beatrice’s prestigious friendship circle, and they attended several parties together. It’s not clear how they met, or whether they are still in touch.

Sean, 42, is the James Bond actor’s oldest son from his first marriage to Cassandra Harris, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 1991.

Rarely-seen Sean is also an actor, recently starring in Waiting For Godot, and has also worked as a psychotherapist. Beatrice and Dave dated for ten years before they split in 2016.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie was known to enjoy a close relationship with her cousin Prince Harry when he lived in the UK, and appeared in his 2022 Netflix series with Meghan Markle.

A source told us last week: “They just can’t win. Bea has found the scrutiny very hard, especially the strain of the past few weeks. It has felt as though things have been in freefall, and she’s being hammered and bullied by commentators.

“Bea is keeping calm and carrying on. She learnt a lot from her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. This is a family in turmoil, but Bea is working hard; the juggle of full-time work and being a parent is her main priority, in order to keep herself mentally strong and her life moving.
