The Masked Singer viewers are convinced they have worked out who is hiding behind the Moth costume after just one performance in the competition.

Fans of The Masked Singer are confident they’ve cracked the mystery behind Moth’s true identity after just one performance.
The popular ITV competition made its comeback on Saturday (January 3), with judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama poised to reveal the celebrities beneath the elaborate costumes in series seven.
In an unprecedented twist, this season has debuted The Masked Singer Band, set to take centre stage during the opening two episodes. Saturday’s instalment featured Goldfish accompanied by their ensemble No Trout.
The responsibility then fell to both the judging panel and audiences nationwide to identify the celebrity concealed as Goldfish, who was subsequently unmasked as Anne Marie. Remarkably, eagle-eyed viewers had already correctly predicted the performer’s identity prior to the official reveal.

This year’s lineup includes Red Panda, Moth, Disc Jockey, Sloth, Gargoyle, Can of Worms, Conkers, Arctic Fox, Toastie, Teabag, Yak, and Monkey Business, reports the Mirror.
Moth was the opening act, delivering a rendition of Mariah Carey’s iconic nineties power ballad ‘Hero’. The performance mesmerised the panel and home viewers alike, though fans swiftly identified the distinctive vocals concealed beneath the elaborate disguise.
Flocking to X, previously known as Twitter, armchair detectives posted their conviction that Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan is the star behind Moth.
One eagle-eyed fan declared: “Moth has to be Keisha from the Sugababes #MaskedSingerUK.”
Another agreed: “Moth sounds like Keisha from the Sugababes…#maskedsingeruk.”
A third viewer declared: “Welcome Moth…a Sugababe if ever there was one,” whilst a fourth said: “Sounds like Keisha from Sugababes to me but not sure! #MaskedSingerUK.”

Meanwhile, a fifth enthusiast posted: “I’m calling it first show. I don’t know about any of the clues but Moth is Keisha from the Sugababes. My ears and gut are telling me it’s her. I will lose my fricking mind if I’m right.”
Keisha rose to fame as one of the original members of the noughties pop sensation, performing alongside Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy.
Despite viewer confidence that she is behind the Moth costume, the judging panel put forward alternative suggestions, naming other cherished pop icons including Jessie J, Paloma Faith and Alexandra Burke.
The Masked Singer continues on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday (January 4) at 6.30pm
