American Idol winner and Season 23 judge Carrie Underwood recently updated fans about life on her family’s farm in Tennessee. That includes an encounter with a swarm of bees while she was out picking blueberries.

Carrie Underwood Escapes Bees on Her Farm

Underwood lives on a 400-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband Mike Fisher and their two sons. Recently, the singer took to Instagram stories to give fans a glimpse into life on the farm, including her time picking blueberries.

“Had to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming…” Underwood wrote in one of her stories, according to Hello! magazine. She included a photo in which the insects could be seen hovering around her plants.

The bees had apparently clustered on one of her blueberry bushes, according to another photo Underwood shared on Instagram. She wrote that “maybe we can catch them tomorrow if they’re still there.”

Underwood and Fisher bought the Tennessee property back in 2011 for a reported $3 million and proceeded to build a home for themselves on the land.
