As the two settled down at the top table, following their exchange of vows at Sydney’s famous Opera House, conversation turned to their dating history.
Put on the spot, Julia was asked by one of Grayson’s groomsmen what the hardest thing is about dating her.
“This is a tough question, the hardest thing,” she said, thinking aloud. “I’m 35, so I have dated all kinds of different people.
“I’m actually bisexual,” she then confessed, adding: “Yeah I’ve dated men, I’ve dated women.”

The camera panned to her stunned groom’s face whose eyes went wide and mouth hang open.
“How does that make you feel about my bisexuality?” she followed up, as Grayson processed the news.
“I don’t think about it at all,” he replied, collecting himself after getting over his initial shock.
“I don’t see people for their sexuality. I’m open to anything, it doesn’t bother me whatsoever.”

Julia was clearly happy with Grayson’s response and was all smiles as he voiced no issues at the revelation.
In a piece to camera, he further added: “I’ve never dated anyone that’s bisexual but I’ve married someone that’s bisexual.”
“I wasn’t expecting it to be honest,” he added. “Probably just categorised her or pigeonholed her into being a straight woman because she’s married a straight guy.”
The scene cut back to the couple at the top table, where Julia dished the details on her bisexuality.
“I’ve dated men, I’ve dated women, for me it’s just about the energy,” she said.
Grayson agreed: “I mean that’s a big one for me, the energy,”
“So I’ve fallen in love with men and I’ve fallen in love with woman, but I think because I’ve dated all kinds of people, from all kinds of different flavours and shades,” Julia continued.
Grayson saw his bride’s bisexuality as a “positive”, adding that it suggests she can “connect with someone on who they are as a person”.
Julia also confirmed that she had no idea if her betrothed at the altar would be male or female before the wedding.
“I basically said that I was open minded to who they thought would be the right fit for me,” she explained.
“I didn’t specify if I was wanting to be matched with a man or a women. So there was a lot of surprises, it’s been a big day.
In a separate piece-to-camera, she added: “But I’m super, super happy with how it all went.
“There’s no doubt that it’s a scary feat to lean into but I honestly couldn’t feel better about it.”
Julia and Grayson’s wedding day ended with the couple sharing a kiss, as their budding romance looked to be heading in the right direction.
