American Idol’s most recent winner, Jamal Roberts, will perform live in Shreveport.

Roberts is set to perform at the Chicken and Blues Festival at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. According to the festival’s website, it is dedicated to celebrating the region’s cultural heritage and community. The event will highlight the evolution of blues music and showcase the culinary talents of local chefs and food vendors, with a focus on chicken dishes.

Fans of live entertainment can look forward to Roberts headlining the event, along with performances by Shreveport-based artists such as Jimmy Wooten, the Windstorm Band, and R&B singer and Shreveport native Timera Clark. Additionally, a special tribute will be paid to Betty Wright, Denise LaSalle, and Johnny Taylor.
Roberts will perform some of his fan favorites. In addition to the festival, He will also appear as a special guest on Brandy and Monica’s ‘The Boy Is Mine‘ Tour this fall. Other special guests include Kelly Rowland and Muni Long.
