Lewis Hamilton has commented on a funny video shared by a Formula One fan who made a brilliant mistake in a text message to her mum after meeting an F1 driver

Lewis Hamilton dropped a one-word response after a Formula 1 enthusiast posted about her mother’s amusing blunder on social media.

The F1 supporter, known as @norajooo on TikTok, shared the exchange on Wednesday, October 29, following a series of messages from her mom. The duo had visited a Tumi luggage store in the United States to meet Oscar Piastri before last year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, where George Russell and Lewis Hamilton secured podium finishes. Nora’s mother texted asking who they had encountered at the shop in 2024.

The message stated “who did we meet at Temu?”, prompting Nora to respond with “What”. Her mother followed up with three messages reading “In Las Vegas. Lewis Hamilton? Your driver?”.

Nora subsequently posted an image captioned “Anyways, this was me with Louis Hamilton at Temu”. However, the photo she actually uploaded depicted her alongside Oscar Piastri at the Tumi location.

The content reached thousands of viewers globally, including seven-time Formula One World Championship victor Hamilton, who left a comment beneath the post

The British driver wrote “real” under the clip, which Nora says left her feeling “unwell”. She stated: “I spent 30 minutes screaming. But I’m nonchalant. I’m super nonchalant.

“I feel like I went to the Vatican and accidently got blessed by the pope himself. Out of every post I have made about Sir Lewis Hamilton, he ended up commenting on the one where my mum called him Lewis Hamilton from Temu. Anyway, shout out to you. And i’m going to gently hold your forehead when I say this, but don’t ever retire. Thank you.”

Hundreds of fans expressed their excitement in the comments section after Hamilton’s response. One user exclaimed: “Girl I’m dead. Not THE Lewis Hamilton commenting.”

Another chimed in: “EVERYTHING about this is so funny. Temu? ? ? Lewis commenting? ? Your driver? ? ? ? ? Hilarious.” A third quipped: “Your driver? Like he’s your damn uber ride.”
