A sci-fi thriller hailed as the greatest Netflix series of all time is currently streaming on the platform.

Viewers have recently praised the programme, which aired between 2015 and 2018, in a Reddit discussion.

One user reached out to fellow Redditors looking for television recommendations, asking: “What’s one Netflix show you wish you could watch again for the first time?”

The same fan went on: “Looking for recs and curious what really stuck with people. What’s that one show that ruined other shows for you because it was that good?

“Feels like I spend more time choosing than actually watching. What are you currently watching that’s actually worth starting?”

Fellow users flocked to offer suggestions, with several championing the Emmy Award-nominated series Sense8, reports The Mirror.

The show was created by Lana and Lilly Wachowski, the sister team responsible for the Matrix films, working alongside J. Michael Straczynski (recognised for Thor).

Over the course of two series, the drama followed eight strangers scattered across the world who discover they are psychically and emotionally connected. They subsequently set out to unravel the mystery behind their bond.

Whilst seeking answers, a shady organisation begins hunting the group, determined to destroy them.

The acclaimed show featured a stellar ensemble cast, including South Korean performer Bae Doona, Gossip Girl veteran Brian J. Smith, and Downton Abbey: A New Era star Tuppence Middleton.

Despite earning rave reviews when it debuted in 2015, Sense8 was axed by Netflix following just two series due to high production costs.

Though its run was brief, the sci-fi drama continues to win over both fresh viewers and devoted followers.

The show boasts an impressive 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where one fan gushed: “Best written show in the last decade,” before adding: “By itself worth the price of Netflix.”

Another enthusiast agreed: “Incredible show. One of the rare ones that hypnotises you, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen the whole time I was watching. Beautiful visuals are tied together harmoniously. Hard to predict. Simply perfect.”

A third admirer declared: “Best show ever produced by Netflix,” whilst a fourth lauded on IMDb: “I love this show and really urge you to watch it. You’ll be glad you did.”
