No longer Alex: The identity of Eddy’s new boyfriend has finally been revealed after months of keeping their relationship under wraps
Farmer Wants A Wife stars Alex and Eddy had already called it quits before the reunion episode aired.
Now, Eddy, 28, has hard-launched her new boyfriend, revealing she had to keep the relationship secret while the show was still on air.
Her new man is reportedly an Aussie-based Frenchman named Matthis.
“From colon preps to watching me date another bloke on TV, my guy has well and truly been through it,” Eddy wrote on Instagram alongside a loved-up post.
“Whiskey & I love you bug.”
The post, shared on Thursday, featured a carousel of photos of the new couple, including several snaps with Eddy’s dog, Whiskey.
Eddy’s relationship announcement comes just weeks after her romance with beef and mushroom farmer Alex played out on the latest season of the hit dating show.
Despite some potential red flags, including Eddy’s strong faith, Alex chose to leave the show early with the 30-year-old Queensland lawyer.
The pair’s relationship divided viewers, but Alex admitted he had developed “tunnel vision” for Eddy and was determined to make the relationship work.
But despite leaving the show committed to their future together, rumours they had already split began circulating before the reunion episode aired.
During the episode, which aired in early August, Alex and Eddy confirmed they had broken up, revealing their relationship quickly unravelled once filming wrapped.

For Alex, the reunion was an opportunity to seek closure after their relationship ended when the cameras stopped rolling.
The Queensland farmer revealed Eddy had “pulled back” before ending their relationship during a 10-minute video call.
“I can’t explain why she did what she did,” Alex said.
“It was really hard to navigate in my mind. I wanted to keep trying and figure it out with her.
“I don’t know why she flipped so suddenly.”
Speaking after the reunion, Alex admitted he had used the episode as a chance to get some much-needed closure.
“We didn’t even say goodbye to each other that night,” Alex told The Morning Show.
“I’m glad I asked those questions. I wanted to get a bit more clarity on some things, and I realised it came across as a bit of a peppering.”
Despite the heartbreak, Alex said he had no regrets about choosing Eddy early in the season.

“At the time, it felt really right for me. We were connected. There was a lot of chemistry, a lot of fun conversation,” he said.
Sharing her side of the story, Eddy said spending time with Alex on a road trip after the show made her realise they weren’t compatible.
“Then time away from Alex made me realise it wasn’t working, and that wasn’t fair to Alex, or me,” she said.
While Eddy described herself as naturally easy-going in relationships, she found Alex too “intense”.
“We are just very different people,” she said.
Alex also revealed he had been upfront from the beginning that he didn’t want to raise his future children religious, and claimed Eddy had indicated during filming she was willing to compromise.
Once the cameras stopped rolling, however, Eddy realised she couldn’t compromise on her faith.
While Alex said he understood her reasoning, he felt she had given up on the relationship too quickly and hadn’t given them a fair chance.
Alex has yet to publicly comment on Eddy’s new romance, but many of her followers were quick to celebrate the new couple.
“I love this so much, so glad you’re happy,” one person commented.
“You deserve nothing less.”
