She’ll no longer take part in Strictly The Professionals.

Producers of the upcoming Strictly The Professionals tour from the cast of Strictly Come Dancing have announced that Michelle Tsiakkas will no longer participate. The announcement comes amid reports suggesting she will not be part of the BBC show’s line-up when it returns to TV later this year.
With hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepping down at the end of the 2025 series, it’s been widely speculated that bosses are planning further changes by shaking up the roster of pro dancers.
Although nothing has yet been confirmed by either the dancers themselves or the BBC, Tsiakkas – who danced with Brian McFadden on the 2025 Christmas special, and Jamie Borthwick on the main 2024 cycle – is alleged to be one of those who won’t be asked back.

The pros’ touring show, meanwhile, is slated to start next month, running until the end of May – but a post on its Instagram page today reveals that Michelle has stepped away.
“We look forward to starting the tour rehearsals early next month with Julian [Caillon], Vito [Coppola], Neil [Jones], Gorka [Márquez], Lauren [Oakley], Jowita [Przystał], Luba [Mushtuk], Alexis [Warr], Kai [Widdrington] and Nancy [Xu].”

Gorka and Luba have also been subject to unconfirmed reports that they will not return to the TV series, as have Nadiya Bychkova and Karen Hauer. Neil and Nancy, meanwhile, are said to be in line to return but without celebrity partners.
The official line-up of professionals hitting the dancefloor is not expected until later this year.
Meanwhile, Amy Dowden has opened up about her return to the show in 2024 after receiving breast cancer treatment, suggesting she may have come back “too soon”.
“I just couldn’t face watching another series on the sofa at home,” she explained in an interview.
“I went back too soon. But it’s so hard. You just want your life back. It takes a long time to recover from the chemo, but because you feel a little bit better every day afterwards, it’s so difficult to tell when you’re really ‘back’.”
She was paired with JB Gill for that particular series, but left mid-series due to injury and was replaced by Lauren.
“Michelle Tsiakkas has decided not to take part in Strictly The Professionals 2026 Tour. We are naturally disappointed but respect her decision and wish her every success for the future,” they said.
