Meghan Markle has faced accusations from fans of mimicking Victoria Beckham’s style, after both women were photographed in strikingly similar outfits within days of each other.

The Duchess of Sussex jetted to Washington D.C. on Tuesday to address the Fortune Most Powerful Women summit regarding her Netflix collaboration and upcoming show.

Meghan appeared sophisticated in a head-to-toe cream look, featuring a midi pencil leather skirt by Brochu Walker paired with a cream blouse. She completed the ensemble with pointed beige heels. It comes as Meghan speaks out on the Netflix deal and the future of her lifestyle brand.

Meanwhile, the previous Wednesday, David Beckham’s spouse graced the premiere of her own Netflix documentary wearing a remarkably comparable cream outfit.

Strutting down the red carpet in London, Victoria donned a white, maxi pencil skirt and a cream blouse with a design reminiscent of Meghan’s, but added a white blazer and black heeled sandals to finish the look.

Nevertheless, fans were swift to notice the parallels between the two ensembles and flocked to social media to share their opinions.

One user posted on fashion page Remoulade Sauce’s X account, which highlighted the comparison: “Why am I not surprized? (sic) VB documentary came in at number three today in the viewings report.”

Another commented: “Now that I see it, I can’t unsee it and it’s scary. It’s as if she’s thinking if she copies enough Victoria, she’ll have a hit show too and Netflix will give her another chance.”

A third user questioned: “She looked the best she has in a while, but can’t she be her own person?” A fourth person chimed in: “Ms Markle has a new girl crush.” A fifth individual remarked: “She has been copying VB for years.”

A sixth person declared: “Oh my, even down to the colour of nail polish.” Another commenter observed: “Of all the people she’s copied, Victoria’s style looks the best on Megan.”

However, other fans adored Meghan Markle’s ensemble and noted its striking resemblance to the wardrobe worn by her Suits character, Rachel Zane.

One Instagram user posted: “Has a Suits vibe…. [heart eyed emoji]”. Another person penned: “OMG, I love everything about this outfit. It’s giving Rachel Zane.” A third fan declared: “Look at Megan out here in her Rachel Zane outfit.”

A fourth supporter gushed: “This woman perfected the pencil skirt from several years ago as Rachel Zane. Another one of my favorite outfits. She’s quality. She’s class. She’s smart and eloquent and more than all that, she is DOING! !”.

The Duchess’s program, With Love, Meghan initially premiered on the streaming service in March this year, with its follow-up season dropping in August.

The debut aligned with the launch of Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard brand, featuring her inaugural offerings such as her raspberry jam and the floral garnishes she consistently showcases throughout the program.

Yet the eight-episode series, which features the duchess sharing entertaining advice and preparing meals alongside her celebrity companions, received harsh criticism from reviewers and tumbled in viewer rankings.
