rince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children, reportedly visited the Harry Potter series set over the weekend.

Filming for the new HBO series began in July with the show, which will be based on the series of fantasy books famously written by J. K. Rowling, expected to debut in 2027.

With the Hogsmeade station scene being filmed in Windsor Great Park – close to where William and Kate live with their kids – the Wales family couldn’t seem to resist popping along to have a sneak peek, apparently.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and kids ‘visit Harry Potter set’

On Friday night (September 26), William and Kate reportedly took 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and seven-year-old Prince Louis along for a magical visit, which included meeting 11-year-old Dominic McLaughlin, who will play Harry Potter in the series, and other cast members.

It’s reported that they even watched some scenes being recorded.

Little Prince Louis also apparently had the chance to board the iconic Hogwarts Express. He reportedly enjoyed a short ride on the steam train, along the half a mile of track that has been newly built through Windsor Great Park’s woodland, close to the family’s new home, Forest Lodge.

A source reportedly told The Mail on Sunday: “It was so special, Kate and the children met the young actors and the director on the set. There was only one night of filming there so it really was a magical ticket.”

It’s the dream for most children to step aboard the Hogwarts Express.

They continued: “And as for Louis, he got the chance to ride on the train with the driver. He seemed to absolutely love it. It’s the dream for most children to step aboard the Hogwarts Express.”

Earlier on in the week, Prince William and Kate reportedly took the kids to see the entire £4million set which has been built in Windsor Great Park. It is then that they were apparently invited to attend the filming on Friday.

King Charles’ secret Harry Potter talent

It seems George, Charlotte, and Louis aren’t the only Harry Potter fans in the family.

In 2017, Queen Camilla revealed that King Charles himself enjoyed reading the books to her grandchildren.

Camilla told the Daily Mail in 2017: “Sometimes, when we are with my husband in Scotland, he reads them Harry Potter.”

She adorably added: “And he does all the voices, because he is a brilliant mimic. I’m not very good. I try to do the voices, but acting isn’t my forte. But he sits down and they all sit with him.”

She continued: “I always think they are going to be wriggling around in the bed, but they sit spellbound. He’s extremely good with children. They love it.”
