Jackie O Henderson has pushed back at suggestions she could host her own radio show hours after her the contract of her co-host Kyle Sandilands was terminated.
Henderson was filmed leaving a hair salon in Sydney’s east when she was asked if she had plans to go it alone.
“Oh….no,” Henderson said abruptly as soon as she was asked.
The person behind the camera then asked Henderson if she planned to host an astrology show — the topic that was the root of her and Sandilands’ very public fallout a fortnight ago.
Henderson could only be heard laughing as she walked into her car.

Sandilands’ contract terminated
The conversation with Henderson came hours ARN confirmed Sandilands’ contract had been terminated in a dramatic escalation of the fallout from his split with his co-host and weeks of turmoil at KIIS FM.
The shock jock had been facing an uncertain future as his 14-day suspension expired, with the network warning his deal could be scrapped if concerns around alleged misconduct were not resolved.
Confirming the decision in a statement on Wednesday, Sandilands made clear he intends to fight the move.
“ARN has just announced that they’ve terminated my contract,” he said.
“I don’t accept it.
“My lawyers told them last week this would be invalid. And guess what? It is.”
The termination follows a highly publicised on-air clash between Sandilands and his long-time co-host last month, which led to Henderson’s departure from the show and Sandilands being taken off air.
Sandilands described the situation as “the kind of thing we’ve done a hundred times in 25 years”.
He accused ARN of escalating the incident, claiming the network “decided to try and burn the place down” after the dispute.

“They sacked Jackie. They suspended me. They wouldn’t even let me pick up the phone to call her or anyone else on the show,” he said.
“Then … once they’d made it impossible for the show to go on, they turn around and say, ‘You didn’t fix it. You’re fired!’.”
The broadcaster said he had apologised to Henderson following the clash and was willing to return to air under any arrangement, including working with a different co-host.
“I said, ‘Put me back on air. I’ll work with Jackie. I’ll work with someone else. Whatever you need’ … Every single time — ‘no’.”
Sandilands also suggested ARN was attempting to walk away from a lucrative long-term deal, citing his reported contract running until 2034.
“Before they suspended me, ARN said, ‘Let us handle it,’ and I listened. In the two weeks since, I’ve done everything ARN asked,” he said.
“They didn’t want to fix this. They thought they saw a chance to get out of the contract they signed with me a year ago, and they ran with it.
“ARN knew exactly what they were getting when they signed my deal … Number one ratings. Year after year.
“I’ve got a contract until 2034 … ARN hasn’t honoured the contract. So, it’s over to my lawyers.”
The termination follows weeks of instability at the network, after Henderson’s exit from the top-rating breakfast show and Sandilands’ suspension left the future of one of Australia’s most successful radio programs in doubt.
Fill-in hosts have fronted the KIIS FM breakfast slot in recent days, as ARN weighed its next move ahead of the suspension deadline.
Sandilands’ exit now sets up a potentially high-stakes legal battle, with the outspoken broadcaster making clear he has no intention of walking away quietly.
“To the people who tune in every morning … you didn’t get a say in this. Neither did I,” he said.
“But my lawyers will. I’m not done. Not by a long way.”
ARN Media Limited confirmed the termination of Sandilands’ contract, confirming “The Kyle And Jackie O Show will no longer be presented” in a statement to the ASX.
“This decision follows the Company’s ASX announcement on March 3, 2026 which outlined that ARN had provided written notice to Mr Sandilands and Quasar Media stating that it considered Mr Sandilands’ behaviour during the broadcast of February 20, 2026 to constitute serious misconduct and a breach of ARN’s services agreement with Quasar Media, under which Mr Sandilands presents The Kyle And Jackie O Show. As noted in the March 3, 2026 announcement, Mr Sandilands was given 14 days to remedy the breach,” the statement said.
