Lisa Riley, who is famed for playing Mandy Dingle on the popular ITV soap, shared a clip to her Instagram as fans rushed to support her.
In the short video, her eyes were red from crying as tears continued to fall. She held her chest and sobbed as she quietly sang along to the song For Good from the musical Wicked. In the caption, Lisa, 49, explained why she was so emotional. She shared that the song “broke her” as she penned: “I was in @imacelebrity in the jungle when @wickedmovie ‘For Good’ was released….so today we felt we should watch it on @skytv @arianagrande @cynthiaerivo the best line EVER. ‘You’ll be with me like a handprint on my heart’. This song BREAKS me every single time.” The song is performed by Glinda and Elphaba in the hit movie and they lyrics portray how their profound friendship has left an indelible, permanent mark on each other, changing them forever, even if they part ways.
Lisa’s fans were quick to support her in the comments of the Instagram post, as many admitted that they too were left in tears. One wrote: “We were lucky enough to go to an advanced screening. We sat there and SOBBED just like this. It’s so beautiful! Hope you enjoyed ‘As Long As You’re Mine’ as much as I did!”
Another added: “I sobbed at this film, the first one I didn’t but this one I cried so much, it was such a good film,” while a third said: “I’m the exact same Lisa with that song, so many beautiful memories watching Wicked London with my late Brother.”
Lisa was in the I’m a Celeb jungle on the last series, at the end of 2025. She finished in fifth place.
When she left the ITV show, she told the press that she had lost 20lbs in weight after living off the rice and beans diet.
Vegetarian Lisa said: “It’s portion control. Everyone says, ‘Oh, it’s beans and rice’. Yes, it is beans and rice, but it’s actually what you consume.“When you’re in there, people don’t have an idea of the lifestyle, the geography of the camp. It’s the activeness – like when you go up to the Bush Telegraph to talk, it’s step after step.
“When you go to a challenge, you never stop moving. It’s endless. It’s not just sat around a campfire having loads of giggles.
“By the time you’ve consumed the beans at night, you’ve probably burned it off.”
