STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has revealed how all the stars that make up the hit series are “on standby” amid the brutal cast cull.

It comes after the BBC One show has been hit by a pro dancer “bloodbath“, leaving Strictly stars fearing for their jobs.

Janette, 42, along with Fleur East, 38, host the weekday spin-off show, It Takes Two.

However, The Sun revealed their jobs “could be at risk” amid the Strictly cull.

“Just because Fleur and Janette aren’t on It Takes Two that’s not to say they won’t be repurposed elsewhere,” an insider claimed.

Despite the BBC saying in a statement “that it is incorrect to claim that either has been axed”, Janette, who has hosted It Takes Two since 2021, has opened up about her uncertainty over her It Takes Two presenting gig.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast about her future on the show, she said: “I don’t know, we’ll have to wait and find out.

“I think everyone at the moment is on standby, so we’ll see what happens… That’s showbiz!””

It comes after several of the show’s professional dancers, including Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas were axed from the main show.

Bosses want to give the programme a refresh following a string of damaging scandals.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman both quit the main show in December.

In an interview with The Sun, pro dancer Michelle told how she was brutally sacked from the show via Zoom and has been left seeking therapy.

The Cypriot-born 30-year-old revealed: “It felt like my world was falling apart, my dream was shattered. I gave my everything to the show for the four years — it was my whole life.”

She also told how she fears she was axed in light of the scandals including bullying and misconduct claims which led to the departure of dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano di Prima.

Michelle joined the popular series in 2022, alongside reigning champion Carlos Gu, Vito Coppola, both 33, and Lauren Oakley, 35 — who have all remained safely on the cast.

Meanwhile at the weekend, The Sun on Sunday revealed how Strictly bosses are keen to snap up a hunky US pro dancer as part of their new line-up.

D’angelo Castro, 25, has caught their eye, and has met with producers on a recent trip to the UK.

He has been on the show’s US counterpart Dancing With The Stars, and has a huge social media following.

A source said: “Strictly bosses are on the lookout for fresh faces and love the look of D’angelo, he ticks all the boxes.

“They hope he could be the new Giovanni Pernice.”
