Jennifer Aniston recently revealed why boyfriend Jim Curtis’ career as a hypnotherapist is one of her favorite things about him.

Jennifer Aniston is proof that love happens.

These days, the Friends alum is head over heels when it comes to her boyfriend Jim Curtis. And while the internet hasn’t gotten over the fact that he’s a hypnotist—a hypnotherapist, to be specific—Jennifer emphasized he’s also so much more.

“Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,” she told Elle in an interview published Nov 12. “He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.”

And in addition to labeling Jim “very special, very normal and very kind,” the Morning Show actress added that through his work, Jim “wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity.”

As she put it, “It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to.”

The 56-year-old’s sweet comments come soon after a recent milestone for her and Jim’s relationship: hard launching their relationship on social media.

While the pair had been out and about together over the last several months, it wasn’t until Jim’s 50th birthday that she brought their romance to her Instagram grid.

Alongside a black and white photo shared Nov. 2, which sees Jennifer hugging Jim from behind, the Murder Mystery star wrote, “Happy birthday my love. Cherished.”

Soon after, Jim took to social media himself to revel in both his love life and birthday festivities.

While sharing several black-and-white photos from his birthday party—including one of Jennifer looking lovingly at him as well as a second in which the couple greeted the attendees—Jim wrote, “If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up.”

Though Jim still feels like he’s dreaming when it comes to his relationship, he’s been able to come back down to earth long enough to share advice about securing a fairytale romance such as his.

During an Instagram Q&A on Oct. 29, the hypnotist responded to an inquiry from a 42-year-old looking for tips on finding love later in life.

“First love yourself and recognize that you are the perfect age and that life is not over at 42,” Jim responded. “When you are 62 and 72, you will look back at 42 and wish that you were that age.”

“And today is a great day to start looking. Go out, open yourself to love and smile, connect with people and most importantly, love yourself,” he wrote. “When you love yourself, you will magnetize more love to you.”
