Lucinda Strafford made a split-second decision to join Love Island: All Stars, agreeing to participate merely three hours before catching a flight to South Africa.
The 26-year-old reality TV personality took the spontaneous plunge to travel to Cape Town as a bombshell entry in the recent series, ultimately leaving the ITV2 programme in a relationship with fellow islander Sean Stone.
During an appearance on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, she revealed: “I got a call in January and it was from one of the casting people and they said, what are you doing? And I said, ‘I’m just lying in bed editing a TikTok. What are you doing?’”.
“Bearing in mind I haven’t had my hair done in ages, I haven’t had my nails done. You know, obviously the important things. I haven’t planned anything.

“I haven’t bought one single piece of clothing for this show at all. Right. And, he just said, ‘Well, there’s a flight tonight to Cape Town, do you want to get on it?”.
Despite her appearance on the programme, certain viewers alleged that Lucinda faced bullying within the villa, prompting 11,000 complaints to Ofcom.
Lucinda has since opened up about spending “a lot of time” isolated in the villa, with Sean being her sole source of support during difficult moments.
Discussing a particularly emotional moment when presenter Maya Jama offered comfort, she explained: “In that moment when I was talking to Maya, I genuinely had no one to look to at all, apart from Sean.

“There wasn’t one single person in there that I felt like was my friend. It was literally just Sean.
“And even that night I went to sleep. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I woke up the next morning. I looked around the bedroom and I was like, there’s no one to even talk to. This isn’t fun.
