A 44-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after allegedly being assaulted at a home in suburban Perth overnight.
Paramedics found the injured woman outside an address on Teakwood Avenue, Woodlands, in Perth’s north at about 1am today.
Police said the woman had sustained a “serious” abdominal injury.
“[She] was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment of life-threatening injuries,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.
A 36-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics for injuries to his hands.
Police said a 30-year-old man was arrested at a nearby home and was being questioned by Mirrabooka detectives.
“It is believed all parties are known to each other and there is no ongoing risk to the community,” the spokesperson said.
