One thing folks should know by now is that if you come at Bunnie Xo and she sees it she is most definitely going to clap back.
Another person found that out the hard way this week by taking a dig at her marriage with country music star Jelly Roll.
“Haven’t seen Jelly lately!!” someone commented on TikTok. “Did he finally leave you?”
And, to her credit, she let that user off easy this time. Bunnie posted a video to TikTok reading the comment. She then sped up the video as she ran through the house, down to the basement to where Jelly Roll was in what appeared to be a studio.
She then wrapped her arms around him and gave him some love as he smiled.
“Nope, just have him locked in the basement per usual,” she wrote.
Again, she let the commenter off easy this time because folks know that Bunnie will definitely stand up for herself and for Jelly Roll.
The latest marriage question came just weeks after she addressed on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast the persistent rumors that the two are in an open marriage.
“You guys are clipping clips from like six years ago,” she said. “One of them, finally, there was a clip that went around that said if I want to sleep with other men, I can. And people have just ran with this clip for years, and I know that I have addressed me and my husband’s situation. I don’t understand what part of we are not in an open relationship that people cannot comprehend.
“The only thing that we don’t do, though, is try to control the other person,” she continued. “If I want to go sleep with another man, he’s not going to be like, ‘No, you’re mine.’ You can’t do that to people. Same goes for like if there was another woman, but this is all in the past. We have completely stopped all of those shenanigans because you can’t trust anybody in the world.”
Bunnie said that “back in the day, that was how we looked at our relationship.”
“We don’t want to tell each other what we can and can’t do,” she said. “We have free will. That is a huge difference from having an open relationship.”
She went on to say that prior to their relationship, Jelly Roll had “never been in a real relationship.”
“Granted, he had been in a couple of 10-year relationships, but he had cheated on every one of them,” she said. “I had been cheated on, and I was in sex work. How am I going to be in sex work having sugar daddies, telling my husband, ‘No, you can’t sleep with other people.’ Like, you guys just don’t see the bigger picture.”
She said that people often ask about their religion when discussing the topic.
“Yes, we are both Christians,” Bunnie said. “We love Jesus, and that is why we have changed the uniform of our relationship. It was never open for us to have to close it. I think that is where people don’t understand because six years ago we were just learning how to talk to the internet. Everybody and their mom runs with that clip, but I’m so happy because one clip finally posted the whole clip.
“People are going to hear what they want to hear,” she continued. “The majority of the time, they’ll clip that, if I want to go sleep with other people, and it is so funny to me because we have brought more women into our relationship than ever any men, you know what I’m saying.
“They are like, ‘Poor Jelly. She just cheats on him all the time.’ It’s like, no. If you guys only knew.”
