The Duke of Sussex quit royal duties in 2020
rince Harry may be “finally regretting” his controversial exit from royal life, a royal photographer has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, stepped away from royal duties in 2020 with his wife, Meghan Markle. However, in the years since, they have done tell-all interviews and Harry has released a memoir about their experience within the royal family.
But now, it’s believed Harry’s relationship with his family has become strained as a result. In September, Harry visited the UK where he met privately with his father, King Charles. According to reports, it may have been a start toward a reconciliation.
This week, the duke penned an emotional letter ahead of Remembrance Day. In it, he reflected fondly on British life.

Prince Harry’s letter to mark Remembrance Day
In the letter, titled The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British, Harry spoke about Remembrance Day, saying it is about “honouring those who, knowing that cost, still choose to serve”.
Harry himself had a military career, serving in the British Armed Forces for 10 years. This service included two tours of duty in Afghanistan.
I think he is finally regretting what he has done.
In the letter, Harry said: “There is a similar stoic spirit of self-deprecation and humour in Ukrainians, that I recognise more than any other, in us Brits.
“Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for. The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it.”

Harry’s ‘regret’ over royal life
This week, Prince Harry has been in Canada for a series of Remembrance events. During the trip, Harry has met with veterans, members of the armed forces community and military charities.
He undertook engagements to support the Canadian armed forces and veteran community.
Analysing Harry’s trip, royal photographer Arthur Edwards reflected on the visit and Harry’s recent letter.
He wrote in The Sun: “The publication this week of his 647-word essay The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What It Means To Be British certainly tells me that he is missing the UK.
“I think he is finally regretting what he has done. His message, if you know a soldier, go and talk to them, buy them a drink, don’t forget their service, makes me believe he is at last, after all that anger, remembering what he loved about being a prince.
“Harry sacrificed the life he loved here, where he was a superstar.”
