A woman who has met Alesha Dixon away from the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel has opened up about a lovely ‘down to earth’ encounter that she had with her.

The 46-year-old, who shot to fame in the early 2000s as part of R&B group Mis-Teeq, has become a huge fan favourite since joining the ITV show as a judge back in 2012.

Alesha is currently joined by Simon Cowell, 65, Amanda Holden, 54, and KSI, 32, on the panel.

The star also works very closely with Ant McPartlin, 49, and Declan Donnelly, 50 on the popular talent competition.

One fan took to a Digital Spy forum to share their positive experience after meeting her while out shopping.

They said: ‘I’ve seen her shopping before!

‘She is so down to earth, no diva moments at all!

‘She was so kind, taking photos with everyone and siging autographs despite it ruining her schedule.

‘I love her on BGT.’

Another added: ‘I really like Alesha she is very down to earth as a celebrity.’

‘Seems a lot more down to earth than many celebrities,’ a third praised.

Alesha has had an extremely successful career since rising to fame as part of Mis-Teeq, alongside Sabrina Washington, Su-Elise Nash and Zena McNally in 1999.

The girlband, which were active until 2005, released a number of albums in that time including Lickin’ on Both Sides, Eye Candy, Mis-Teeq and Mis-Teeq: Greatest Hits.

Some of their songs include All I Want, B With Me, Roll On, Scandalous and Why?

After the group went their separate ways, Alesha went on to create her own music and released four albums over the years of 2006 and 2015.

Some of her best tunes include The Boy Does Nothing, The Way We Are, Tallest Girl and Breathe Slow.

And to this day she’s still releasing records now, including Chargie, which was released three months ago.

But music isn’t the only thing that Alesha has been up to since her Mis-Teeq days.

She took part in the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 alongside Matthew Cutler.

The star impressed the judges and public with her dance moves and ended up being crowned winner of the competition that year.

Two years later she landed a judging role on the BBC show and was on the panel until 2012, and the following year joined the BGT team.

Alesha regularly appears on on screens on a number of telly shows, including Loose Women, The Graham Norton Show, Children in Need, Lorraine and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Back in July Alesha had revealed a surprising career change as she made a major move away from her music.

She has now made a big move into the film industry as she has signed up as an executive producer of a short film.

Alesha has joined the team producing Fire Lily, which tells a story about the systematic abuse of power in society and has been written by Phil Dunn.

She said of her major move: ‘I’m honoured and excited to join an already stellar team of creatives and watch Fire Lily blossom.’
