I DID IT FOR MY DAD…! – BREXTON BUSCH DELIVERED AN EMOTIONAL VICTORY JUST TWO MONTHS AFTER LOSING HIS FATHER, LEAVING HIS MOM “SO PROUD AND SO HEARTBROKEN.”

The Busch family has hit the race track again.

Samantha Busch shared an Instagram post with videos of son and racer Brexton after what was a first win on the track since Kyle Busch’s shocking death in May at 41.

Busch hugged and kissed her 11-year-old son in the post and the two also posed for a picture in front of dad’s green race car while holding the checkered flag.

While it was an exciting moment on Friday night at Oklahoma’s Port City Raceway dirt track, Busch said she never “felt so proud and so heartbroken” all at once.

“Brexton continues to amaze me with his determination, his resilience, the way he keeps showing up to do what he loves even while carrying so much at such a young age,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. “Watching him celebrate all I could think about was Kyle. There was nothing that made him happier than watching Brex race, spending the day tinkering on his car and then being the first one sprinting to Victory Lane with that huge grin on his face.”

Brexton competed in multiple divisions but took home the win in the restricted micro sprint class, per Motorsport, after starting back in 14th place.

Busch documented the various races on her Instagram stories throughout the night.

“In restricted Brexton started p14, huge wreck lap one started in the back p12. Made his way thru the field,” she wrote in a play-by-play story. “And he ended up with the WIN!!!!”

She was there with her 4-year-old daughter Lennix.

In her Instagram post, Busch continued to reflect back on moments with Kyle, including watching Brexton increasingly invest in racing.

“I used to tell Kyle during all the late nights, roadtrips and chaos of long weekends at the track that one day when we were 80 we’d look back and say, ‘Those were the best days of our lives.’ I knew then and I know even more now, they really were,” she wrote.”

“Congratulations, buddy. Dad would’ve been so, so proud. ❤️🏁”

Kyle’s No.8 car will not be used until Brexton joins NASCAR.

Samantha married Kyle in December 2010.

The NASCAR legend died hours after being hospitalized with what his family deemed a serious illness at the time. It came after Kyle became unresponsive following a test in a Chevrolet racing simulator in Concord, NC.

It was later revealed that he had pneumonia that progressed into sepsis.

Samantha has been very open about her and her family’s journey through grief over the last two months.

Prior to Brexton’s race, the family took a trip for the Fourth of July where Busch admitted she learned “heartbreak and joy no longer exist separately.”
