PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MAKE THEIR FEELINGS CLEAR TO KING CHARLES ABOUT PRINCE GEORGE’S FUTURE… AS THE YOUNG ROYAL PREPARES FOR A MAJOR NEW CHAPTER.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have “made it clear” to King Charles that they want to balance out their royal and family lives, just as Prince George is bracing for a new chapter in his life. George, who is celebrating his 13th birthday today, may come from a privileged background and be the future King of the UK; however, his parents have vowed to give him a sense of normality as much as they can.
Robert Jobson, author of Catherine: The Princess of Wales, previously told Hello! Magazine: “William and Catherine have made it clear to the King that they are committed to balancing royal duties with family life and it will be the same this year” The author claimed that the Waleses’ idea focuses on how they can let George develop into a good person, which will in turn contribute to allowing him to become a good king. Mr Jobson explained: “Their aim is for George — as well as Charlotte and Louis — to grow into well-adjusted adults, ready for the role when the time comes.”

This year, as George enters his teenage years, the royal will have to face another major change.
He will enrol at Eton College this coming academic year, the school which educated both his father and his uncle, Prince Harry.
Founded in 1440 by Henry VI, Eton – whose motto “Floreat Etona” (Let Eton Flourish) adorns its coat of arms – is one of Britain’s oldest and most exclusive public schools and has educated 20 prime ministers and generations of British and foreign royalty.
The young prince is currently studying at Lambrook School, the private prep school in Berkshire, where he boards and it is also attended by his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Aside from the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, other notable Old Etonians include David Cameron and Boris Johnson – who were contemporaries – as well as actors Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie.
The boarding school, whose annual fees exceed £63,000, is renowned for its academic excellence, with dozens of pupils securing places at Oxford and Cambridge each year.
Last year, almost all of Eton’s pupils scored grades 7-9 in their GCSEs, while more than three-quarters of the college’s A-Level cohort secured an A or A*.
