Five teenagers, the youngest aged just 16, have been charged over nearly a dozen incidents targeting men in Melbourne’s south-east.

Police allege the group of teenagers has been using dating apps to lure unsuspecting men into meeting them.
The victims are then allegedly sexually assaulted, bashed, robbed, threatened, and subjected to homophobic slurs.
This often took place in bush land and secluded areas including the Dandenong Trail.
Following 11 incidents in the Greater Dandenong area, five boys aged 16 to18 years old were arrested and charged.

There have been 113 incidents like this reported to police across Victoria since January 2024, with nearly 50 arrests made.
