The Duke of Sussex travelled to London on his own at the start of his visit to England, with security concerns cited as the reason his family did not accompany him for the public-facing engagements.

The 41-year-old is now said to be “hoping” for further family get-togethers in Britain.
Meghan was also present for the Gloucestershire visit, which took place at the end of a week during which the Sussexes had been travelling around Europe on a family holiday before heading to the UK.
Alongside his hopes for more reunions, the Duke has renewed his campaign for state-funded police protection in the UK.

A source told Hello: “He will pursue it until RAVEC agree to enact the terms of reference that were made clear in front of a judge in the judicial review.

Last October, a source close to Harry confirmed he had written directly to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood and lodged a formal risk assessment request with RAVEC.
Harry travelled to London on his own at the start of the trip, with security concerns cited as the reason his family did not accompany him for the public-facing engagements.
He did not stay at Buckingham Palace despite being offered accommodation there, as his acceptance of the invitation reportedly came too late.
The Duchess of Sussex had originally been expected to appear alongside him at events in Birmingham marking one year until the 2027 Invictus Games, but she ultimately did not attend any public engagements.
She did, however, join the Duke for the private family reunion at Highgrove at the close of the week, having already been holidaying with the family across Europe beforehand.
The Duke’s next scheduled visit to Britain is for the WellChild awards in September, a ceremony he has attended annually.

He will also return for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, having participated in the one-year countdown celebrations earlier this month.
The security question remains deeply personal for Harry.
During court proceedings in December 2023, he delivered an emotional statement: “The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the US.
“That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil.”
