Abugharbeih was arrested on Friday and charged with two counts of premeditated murder in the deaths of Zamil Limon, 27, and his girlfriend, Nahida Bristy, 27.
The couple lived with Abugharbeih while attending graduate school at the University of South Florida.
On April 13, Abugharbeih asked ChatGPT, “What happens if a human has a put in a black garbage bag and thrown in a dumpster?” according to court documents viewed by The U.S. Sun.
“How would they find out,” Abugharbeih asked ChatGPT after it provided an answer.

Limon’s body was found on Friday near their home in Tampa, Florida, and police are still searching for his girlfriend’s remains.
The two, both from Bangladesh, were last seen near a USF student complex on April 16.
Footage of Abugharbeih’s arrest showed a tense stand-off as SWAT teams arrived to his home.
“Upon arrival, Abugharbieh barricaded himself inside the residence. After multiple lawful commands to exit, he refused to comply,” the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
Abugharbieh was eventually taken into custody without incident, after he was seen exiting his home with just a towel covering his legs.
Court documents showed that Abugharbieh purchased duct tape, fire starter, lighter fuel, and trash bags in the days before Limon’s remains were found.
“Will my neighbors hear my gun,” he asked ChatGPT on April 19.
Abugharbieh is also charged with false imprisonment, unlawfully moving a dead body, failure to report a death, tampering with physical evidence and battery.
“This is a deeply disturbing case that has shaken our community and impacted many who were hoping for a safe resolution,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister.
“We will continue to follow every fact, pursue every lead, and use every tool available to hold those responsible fully accountable. Our thoughts remain with the families of Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy during this time,” Chronister said.
Anyone with information relating to Bristy’s disappearance is encouraged to call police, as they continue their search.
