BREAKING: LINDSAY CLANCY BREAKS DOWN AS PATRICK’S DESPERATE 911 CALL ECHOES THROUGH THE COURTROOM—JURORS HEAR THE MOMENT HIS WORLD CHANGED FOREVER

Lindsay Clancy broke down in tears as her ex-husband’s 911 call was played in court.

The audio of Patrick Clancy discovering that his children had been killed was played during the second day of Lindsay’s trial in Plymouth, Mass., on Wednesday, July 29.

Lindsay is charged with three counts of murder in the deaths of her three young children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan. The children were fatally strangled with exercise bands at their family home in Duxbury, in January 2023.

The call was introduced just after Patrick was excused from the witness stand Wednesday. Though the audio was not played on the court livestream, which was aired by the Associated Press and several other outlets, video feed showed Lindsay in the courtroom sobbing, with her head in her hands.

Kevin Reddington, Lindsay’s attorney, could also be seen consoling her as the audio played.

Lindsay does not dispute that she killed her children, but her defense team argues that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time and not criminally responsible.

In those documents, prosecutors said Patrick called 911 after finding Lindsay following a suicide attempt in which she jumped out of a second-story window.

Prosecutors claimed Patrick could be heard on the call entering the home before yelling for help to the police officers on the scene.

“She killed the kids,” he yelled, per the documents.

In her opening statements Monday, Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham claimed that Lindsay deliberately killed the children.

“One by one, [Lindsay] grabbed exercise bands around each one of the kids’ necks and pulled until their little bodies were limp and lifeless,” Buckingham said.

The defense later introduced the claim that Lindsay was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was overmedicated.

Patrick, who testified in her defense, previously filed a wrongful death lawsuit claiming his then-wife was prescribed at least nine medications in the months before the killings, including eight over a three-week period between Nov. 16 and Dec. 5, 2022. The medications included Prozac, Ambien, Klonopin and Valium, PEOPLE reported.

He has also publicly said he forgives his wife and has urged others to do the same.
