A body was callously dumped outside Joondalup apartments on Wednesday morning and an investigation is underway to work out who the woman is.
A huge police presence descended on the carpark outside the Arthouse apartments on Grand Boulevard on Wednesday morning after reports a man had left the body.
The call to police was made by St John Ambulance paramedics and police have since taken away their ambulance for forensic examination in the hope it holds more clues into the woman’s identity.
Detective inspector Jade Norwaski said police knew very little about the woman or how she died, nor the man involved.
“At this point in time, it’s probably too early to understand his motivations. However, we would like to speak to him,” he said.

“His knowledge of the death this morning is key to this investigation.
“We don’t believe there is any threat to the community. This is an isolated matter.”
The ambulance will be swabbed for DNA, fingerprints, and fibres.
“We will be turning over every rock to find relevant evidence,” Det Insp Norwaski said.

“We are dealing with people at their worst moment, and anything you can imagine may be possible in circumstances like this.
“At this point, our priority is locating the male person and continuing the investigation.”
A St John Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics are cooperating with police.
The woman’s body was discovered about 9.45am.
Witnesses told PerthNow that about 30 officers were on the scene outside the Arthouse apartments until about 12.30pm, with a section of the car park taped off.
“As soon as I walked out there was a bunch of tape around the area and an ambulance. (The police) couldn’t tell us what happened,” resident Ken Forrest said.

Fellow resident Mohammad La Faraj said the police presence was unusual for the area.
“I just hope that our neighbours are safe,” he said.
Police had cordoned off a section of the road right outside café Cinnayum and seized CCTV footage from the apartment complex and neighbouring businesses.
The cafe confirmed via a social media post that they have been forced to close early on Wednesday due to the incident.
