Prince Harry may have built an entirely new life thousands of miles away from Britain, but new claims suggest the Duke of Sussex still feels a powerful pull toward everything he left behind.
Six years after stepping back from royal duties and relocating to California with Meghan Markle, Harry is reportedly struggling to fully embrace his American existence, with claims that he deeply misses his family, longtime friends and former life in the United Kingdom.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently live in Montecito, California, where they are raising Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five. Harry has previously spoken positively about aspects of his life in the United States, but media executive Dan Wakeford, founder of Celebrity Intelligence, has now claimed that the prince is not entirely happy with how his new chapter has unfolded.
“Harry particularly doesn’t love the life he has in America,” Wakeford claimed, suggesting the Duke continues to miss the relationships and familiar surroundings he once had in Britain.

Perhaps one of the more surprising claims is that Harry may no longer be interested in maintaining such a high-profile lifestyle.
According to Wakeford, the prince could potentially be content with downsizing and living a quieter, smaller-scale existence.
The suggestion paints a different picture of Harry’s priorities following years of intense media attention surrounding his departure from royal life, his memoir Spare and the Sussexes’ various television and media projects.
There has been no public confirmation from Harry that he is considering leaving America or permanently returning to Britain.
His Latest UK Visit Put Family Back in Focus
The claims have emerged shortly after Harry returned to Britain for a series of engagements connected to causes including the Invictus Games.
But it was what happened away from his public schedule that attracted the greatest attention.
Harry reportedly reunited with King Charles and Queen Camilla during the visit, with Meghan, Archie and Lilibet eventually joining him in Britain after private security arrangements were finalized.
The gathering reportedly marked the first time Charles had seen his California-based grandchildren in person since 2022.
Harry also reportedly spent time at Althorp, the ancestral home of his late mother, Princess Diana—a visit that may have carried particular emotional significance for the Duke.
