FAMILY’S EMOTIONAL PLEA AS AUSTRALIAN MAN REMAINS MISSING IN MEXICO — THEIR MESSAGE TO JESSE IS BREAKING HEARTS AROUND THE WORLD
Police continue to support the family of a Western Australian man who vanished without a trace six weeks ago.
Jesse Bruzzese, 35, last spoke to loved ones on June 3 while travelling in the Riviera Maya region near Cancun.
He had arrived in Mexico a month earlier after travelling the world alone for nine months.
Interpol recently issued a yellow notice, an international alert used to track down missing or abducted people.
The organisation said he was likely to have visited Cambodia, Mexico, the United States, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Indonesia.
An experienced traveller, Mr Bruzzese rarely went long without regular contact with family and friends up until he disappeared last month.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and WA Police are assisting the multi-agency cross-border investigation into his whereabouts.
‘DFAT is providing consular assistance to the family of an Australian reported missing in Mexico,’ a spokesperson said.

Mr Bruzzese’s family recently issued a public plea for information.
‘Our family has not heard from Jesse and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare,’ they wrote on social media.
‘He has been travelling overseas, and we have been unable to confirm where he is or whether he is okay for three weeks.
‘Jesse, if you happen to see this, please know that we love you so much and we are worried about you.
‘We are growing more worried as each day goes by.
‘We aren’t looking to pressure you [Jesse] or invade your privacy. We simply want to know that you’re okay. Please reach out to someone and let them know you’re safe.’
Mr Bruzzese is 176cm tall, with brown hair and eyes.
