A man has been arrested and is assisting police with inquiries.
A homicide investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead at a home south of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to a home on Rowanda St in Slacks Creek, Logan, about 12.30am on Wednesday where a woman was found unresponsive after reports of an assault.
Paramedics and officers performed CPR on the woman and treated her for life threatening injuries, however, she was unable to be revived and was declared dead at the scene about 1am.

She has since been identified as a 27-year-old Woody Point woman.
The home is now a crime scene as police launch investigations into the death.
This led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Slacks Creek man at the scene. He is currently assisting police with inquiries.
“The man and woman were known to each other, however we are unable to comment further on their relationship at this stage,” police said.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Anyone who may have information that may assist in the investigation are urged to come forward.
