PURE PICK ME GIRL..?! – Former Married At First Sight stars have sparked fierce debate after flying to Bali for controversial rib contouring surgery, a cosmetic procedure that is not permitted in Australia.

Married At First Sight’s Bec Undergoes Rib Contouring Surgery in Bali After Weeks of Doubt

MAFS' Gia calls Bec's rib surgery a 'PR stunt' and 'ridiculous'

Married At First Sight star Bec has officially gone ahead with the cosmetic procedure she spent weeks debating, revealing that she underwent rib contouring surgery in Bali after initially cancelling the operation.

The reality TV personality shared the entire experience with her followers on Instagram, documenting the moments leading up to the surgery as well as her early recovery just hours afterward.

In a series of videos, Bec was seen arriving at the hospital, changing into a surgical gown, and showing the markings surgeons had drawn across her back before being taken into the operating theatre. The procedure reportedly lasted around 50 minutes.

Following the operation, Bec updated fans from her nearby hotel room, where she is now recovering. She described her pain level as only 3 out of 10, saying she felt comfortable despite the surgery and planned to document every stage of her recovery over the coming months.

“I’ll be sharing the whole journey,” she told followers, giving viewers a first look at the immediate aftermath of the procedure.

The surgery comes after weeks of uncertainty. Bec had previously decided against going through with the operation, telling fans she had changed her mind at the last minute.

However, she later admitted that cancelling the procedure left her with genuine regret. After taking time to reconsider her decision, she ultimately chose to proceed with the surgery while in Bali.

Rib contouring—also known as rib remodeling or rib repositioning—is one of the fastest-growing cosmetic procedures worldwide. The surgery is designed to create a narrower lower rib cage and produce a more defined hourglass waist.

Unlike traditional waist-shaping procedures, rib contouring involves making small incisions in the patient’s back or flank area before carefully weakening, fracturing, or repositioning portions of the lower ribs.

Recovery is considered a major part of the treatment. Patients are required to wear a tightly fitted corset continuously for approximately 12 weeks to help reshape the rib cage as it heals. According to cosmetic surgeons, the degree of waist reduction largely depends on how consistently the corset is worn throughout the recovery period.

The procedure has reportedly been performed more than 3,000 times globally and continues to attract growing interest from patients seeking permanent body contouring rather than temporary waist-training methods.

For Bec, the decision marks the end of weeks of indecision and the beginning of a lengthy recovery process. While she admits there is still discomfort ahead, she appears optimistic and says she is committed to sharing the reality of healing after one of the world’s fastest-growing cosmetic surgeries.
