Authorities in Atlanta are urgently conducting operational measures to track down a group of suspects who followed and opened fire on a 16-year-old boy on a city street this past Sunday.

Incident Overview According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on May 31 in the 900 block of Mayson Turner Road NW. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was walking down the street when a group of males began tailing him. The group subsequently opened fire, striking the teenager in the shoulder.

Immediately upon receiving the report, police officers and rescue teams arrived at the scene. At the time of transport to the hospital, the victim was determined to be alert, conscious, and breathing. Witnesses present at the scene stated that immediately after the attack, the suspects fled toward Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.

Investigation Progress The Aggravated Assault Unit of the Atlanta Police Department has officially released photos and surveillance footage of several individuals identified as persons of interest in the case to facilitate the manhunt.
