Eight people have been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man at a short-term rental house party that turned into an all-in brawl south of Brisbane.
Jongkuch Achiew was allegedly bashed and left to die in the middle of a Logan street late last month.

Debris littered Discovery Road in Bahrs Scrub in the early hours of July 26 after gatecrashers caused the chaos to spill into the neighbourhood.
One street away, police found Achiew, who was a beloved brother and the son of a reverend, beaten, bloodied, and with severe head injuries.

He was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition but died from his injuries six days later.
Eight people have now been charged with murder and police say further arrests and charges are possible.
“Police will allege that this group had a preconceived plan which included arming themselves with weapons before attending Bahrs Scrub with the common purpose of inflicting harm on persons at that address,” Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said.
Galpin would not confirm the group were members of a gang but said the Organised Crime Gang Group was assisting the investigation.
He said he did not believe there would be retaliation over Achiew’s death.
“From the very outset of this investigation, our police liaison officers have been working very closely with community leaders and other members of the community to address any concerns and together they have done an amazing job at addressing any suggestions of tension within the community,” he said.
“I can tell you that everyone that we have spoken to, they want nothing but peace within their community and that’s why I am confident we won’t see any further retaliation.”
Galpin said the community had been supportive and cooperative with the investigation and that it was an emotional and difficult time for the murdered man’s family and friends.
Dozens of officers executed a series of sweeping raids on August 6 and charged four men aged 18 and 19 with murder.
Joshua Jirima and Kandour Tagelsir, both 18, and 19-year-olds Amnaud Nduwayo and Sunday Obol all faced court last week.

On Sunday afternoon, police arrested another three 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old in Morayfield – about 75 kilometres from Logan on the other side of Brisbane – and charged them with murder.
An 18-year-old Acacia Ridge man, an 18-year-old Sunnybank man, an 18-year-old Inala man and a 17-year-old Doolandella boy were to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
Galpin thanked the community for their support and cooperation and called for anyone with more information to come forward.
