A 31-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were found dead inside a Melton Close property in Werribee during a police welfare check.

A man and woman have been found dead inside a home in Melbourne’s southwest, with detectives now investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

Police attended the Melton Close property in Werribee for a welfare check on Friday afternoon, where they found the bodies of a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman inside the home.

The property is currently listed for sale and was due to open for inspection on Saturday.

Neighbours have expressed shock over the discovery, with one resident saying they had not heard any signs of disturbance coming from the home.

“Neighbours are quiet, so I haven’t really heard anything like argument or fighting,” one said.

Police said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths and investigations are ongoing.
