Crash in allegedly stolen car kills teenage boy and hospitalises three more in Lake Macquarie
Two teens allegedly ran from the crash before being arrested.
A 13-year-old boy has died in a crash involving an allegedly stolen car which put three other teenagers in hospital.
The Toyota Kluger was driving along Willow Rd in Gateshead, south of Newcastle, when it left the roadway and crashed into a paddock about 3am on Monday.
First responders treated the 13-year-old boy but he died at the scene.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with leg injuries, under police guard.
Two other people were believed to have been in the car at the time of the crash, but ran away before first responders arrived.
A 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were later arrested and taken to hospital under police guard.
Initial inquiries into the crash allegedly indicate the Toyota was stolen from the Swansea area some time after 10pm on Sunday.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing and anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
