Prince Harry is “desperately” seeking a reconciliation with his estranged brother, Prince William, according to journalist and Celebrity Intelligence founder, Daniel Wakeford. Appearing on The Royals Uncensored on Thursday, Wakeford revealed that Harry “regrets” talking about his family in his tell-all book Spare and Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan.

“You also say that Harry really desperately wants to be reconciled with William, has hoped that the phone will ring,” Katie Nicholls said, kicking off the interview. “I mean, if he hasn’t got his number, I don’t know how he’s going to contact him, but of course, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Can you talk us through what you’ve discovered from your sources?”

“Yeah, I talked to people around Harry. I mean, this story is one of the biggest stories of our generation,” Wakeford noted. “These two brothers, it’s heartbreaking after watching them grow up. And I wanted to get to the bottom of it. Is there avenues towards a reconciliation? And Harry wants a reconciliation. He regrets the things he said in the book and the documentary, and doing that again is off the table; no projects are being presented to him where he would be involved in talking about his family in that way.

“And what’s heartbreaking is he kind of has hoped that William would stumble a little and reach out and need him because it was expected that Harry was going to be standing by his side through this evolution into the monarchy and that Harry would be this support system.

“And so he’s hoped that he’s been there, but he’s got no avenue to communicate with him, and it’s heartbreaking.”

Asked if his sources had pinpointed the point of no return for Harry and William, Wakeford replied: “I mean, the portrayal of talking about the family, but one in particular, it was talking about Kate and portraying her as cold through a series of anecdotes in Spare is something that William really could not get over and is the thing which makes him realise, I am done. I don’t want to pursue this. I’m done with this drama.

“He could deal with the criticisms of himself,” Wakeford continued, “criticising Kate is really the straw that broke the camel’s back here.”
